Perhaps the most revealing meta narrative for the whole management zeitgeist was summed up Netflix’s CFO David Wells when he described the gaining the next 50 million subscribers as “a little bit harder than the first 50 million.

Netflix Has Now Achieved What Pay-TV Could Only Dream Of

When Netflix’s CEO Reed Hastings gave his keynote presentation yesterday at CES in Las Vegas what caught the media’s attention was the scale of the Video Subscription Service’s global ambitions. Hastings boldly announced that Netflix is now available in 130 countries, including such diverse markets as South Korea , Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Netflix Gets Ready To Disrupt TV Commissioning In 2016

This week, Ted Sarandos, Netflix’s head of content revealed the company’s 2016 originals pipeline. Netflix will nearly double its roster of original series from this year’s 16 to 31 in 2016. It will also build up the critical success of this year’s “Beasts Of No Nation” by releasing 10 feature films, as well as documentaries, stand – up specials and 30 children’s programmes.
