There has never been a better time to make video.

The barriers to creation have collapsed. Editing software that once cost thousands is available on subscription. AI can generate transcripts, captions, thumbnails, clips, and even entire video sequences. Distribution is effectively free. A creator can reach millions of people with nothing more than a smartphone.

Yet for many creators, creating content feels more complicated than ever. The modern video workflow is no longer built around a single tool. It is a patchwork of cameras, editing software, analytics platforms, AI assistants, scheduling tools, community platforms, and monetisation services. Every innovation promises to save time, but each also adds another layer to the workflow.

The result is a paradox: creators have more tools than ever, yet many are spending more time managing creation than actually creating. So rather than focusing on what the new tools promise, MIDiA wants to understand how creators are using them. To do so, we are launching a new video creator survey.

Take part in our survey and help shape the findings

The survey takes between five and ten minutes to complete.

Everyone who completes the survey will receive a summary of the findings, offering an early look at the trends emerging from creators around the world.

Participants will also be entered into a prize draw where:

  • One winner will receive $1,000
  • One winner will receive $500

Winners will be selected at random from eligible completed responses and contacted by email.
