After a successful first year, MIDiA's audio creator survey is back.
We are once again inviting spoken-word audio creators to share their experiences and help build a better understanding of this rapidly growing creator segment.
Whether you're creating as a hobby, side hustle, or full-time career, your insights will help ensure leading companies in the audio industry have the information it needs to better support creators now and in the future.
What do we mean by "spoken-word audio"?
For this survey, spoken-word audio refers to audio content where the spoken voice, rather than music, is the primary focus. That includes, but isn’t limited to:
- Podcasts
- Audiobooks and narration
- Audio dramas and fiction
- Radio and live audio content
- Audio news and journalism
- Audio educational and learning content
- Interviews and chat shows
- Non-video documentary storytelling
If your work centres on spoken content, we'd love to hear from you.
What's in it for me?
Taking the survey means having your voice heard among MIDiA’s readership and client base, which includes leading global audio and tech companies. Not only will your insights help shape the future of the audio creator economy, but you'll also have the chance to win some cash prizes.
This includes:
- One cash prize of $1000
- Three cash prizes of $100
Winners will be selected at random from survey participants and contacted by email.
In addition, MIDiA is offering a $50 cash payment to each of six selected participants who take part in a follow-up face-to-face virtual interview.
All individual responses will remain completely confidential.
How can I take the survey?
The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
Grab a coffee, click the link below, and share it with fellow podcasters, audiobook narrators, radio producers, audio journalists, commentators, educators, and other spoken-word creators in your network.
Thank you for helping us build a better understanding of the spoken-word audio creator community, and good luck in the prize draw!
