Magnifi is one of three platforms owned and operated by Mumbai-based SaaS start up VideoVerse (previously known as Toch.ai). The company operates as a white label service provider for the entertainment industry and its core services focus on utilising machine learning algorithms and a video technology ecosystem to deliver video content in easy-to-use formats for its clients.
While VideoVerse operates two other platforms, Styck (a live multi-platform streaming solution for creators) and Illusto (a web developer), Magnifi is VideoVerse’s flagship product. It is most closely involved in delivering AI based production solutions for sport with its clients. The artificial intelligence-powered platform provides real-time video highlight technology for sports, entertainment, and news. This enables clients to monetise previously non-cost-effective sports coverage by producing highlights that can be directly monetised on social channels such as YouTube. The Magnifi platform enables operators in smaller and less developed markets to generate revenue from advertising attached to highlight content creation where it was previously not cost-effective to do so.While the impact of Magnifi is currently being felt on the edges of sports broadcasting, its ability to create new monetisation opportunities from marginal content is likely to be the start of an AI production revolution. Delivered optimally, it will create a bespoke sports viewing experience for consumers.
