ABOUT MIDiA RESEARCH
We are looking for a Games Industry Analyst to join our expert analyst team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The world of entertainment has never experienced such profound and rapid change. No single entertainment industry can afford to stay solely in its lane. Cross-entertainment competition for attention and the rise of the creator economy are reshaping the future of entertainment business, consumption, and culture.
We are looking for someone who understands these dynamics and has bold ideas about how they will evolve. Someone who understands how entertainment value chains operate, has a vision for what will come next, and an appetite for disruptive, forward-looking thinking.
You will cover topics such as audience behaviour, fans, fandom and identity, entertainment culture, and business model innovation
The successful candidate will build upon our reputation by expanding our fast-growing entertainment & fandom coverage area, with key focus on the games industry.
You will conduct world-class research and analysis, to produce insightful reports that power MIDiA’s syndicated research subscription service.
Your coverage will combine three key areas of focus:
The supply side (looking at the evolving games industry dynamics and direction of travel)
The consumer side (how and why people play games, what resonates with consumers, and how can games build engagement, fandom, and sales).
Identify and advise on opportunities between games and other forms of entertainment
Reporting directly to MIDiA’s Head of Research this is an opportunity to directly shape the strategic thinking of some of the world’s most successful and influential companies in entertainment.
