The brief
Splice approached MIDiA to develop a strategic thought leadership whitepaper that would enable the music industry to anticipate the hits of tomorrow and solidify Splice as a specialist in music creation. Splice wanted us to do this by using their platform data to explore emerging music trends and highlight genre fusions and global influences that would define 2025.
The approach
Through a combination of data modeling, forecasting, and analysis of Splice’s platform data, we co-developed a robust piece of data-driven thought leadership which highlighted emerging music trends across key cities around the world for 2025.
The impact
The whitepaper revealed shifts in pop, hip hop, and dance music, offering a forward-looking view of the industry’s direction. It was met with strong coverage across 15+ unique media outlets, going on to receive 2,000+ total engagements by journalists and more than 5,000 views / downloads.
